Service Bulletin
"This Bulletin applies to all Models of the Indy 500
Game "
Problem: Controls do not operate properly. The Steering and Accelerator/Brake
functions are not correct.
Cause: Inputs are incorrectly calibrated.
Correction: Perform the "Volume Setting" test to properly
set up the player controls. Follow the procedure listed below.
- Enter the Teat Mode by pressing the Test Button located on the Service
Panel inside the upper coin door.
- Use the Service button or the View Change Buttons (Either) to move
the pointer "->" to the item marked "Volume Setting".
Press the Test button to enter this area (See Figure 1).
- Use either the Service or View change buttons to move the pointer
"->" to the item marked "Set & Exit".
- Fully Depress the Accelerator & Brake pedals one at a time. You
will need to press each pedal to its' full cop, and allow It to return to
Its' normal "Rest" position.
- Fully turn the Steering wheel Left & Right to each mechanical
stop. Allow the Steering Wheel to return to its' normal "Rest"
position. (See Figure 2).
- Press the Test Button to store the settings and return to the Main
Teat Menu. Exit the menu by aligning the pointer with "Exit" and
pressing the Test Button one final time.
